In 1991 the Senior Center moved to a brand new facility designed and built specifically around the activities and services provided by the Center. Serving over 6,000 people each month, the Center offers a wide range of social, educational, health, financial and recreation programs for Shelton residents 55 years of age or older.
     The facility includes meeting rooms, lounges, a poolroom and a snack bar. The Center’s goal of keeping their members active and involved is met with arts and craft classes, pool leagues, bridge, bingo and a choral group. The Center holds holiday parties and barbecues, and sponsors bus trips. In addition, they help provide for their members’ health with screenings for a variety of medical conditions.
